She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since she was a child she has had a deep interest in dance, a vocation she later developed both as a performer and as a teacher. At the age of 9 she began dance training in ballet and modern dance. In 1998 Cecilia graduated from the Conservatorio Nacional de Danza Clasica y Contemporanea (National Conservatory of Ballet and Contemporary Dance), getting her degree in Contemporary Dance. Since 1999 she has been studying Middle Eastern Dances (Raqs Sharqi mostly) and has attended numerous workshops. From 2000 onwards she started taking Middle Eastern dance classes for both folk and artistic styles with well known Argentinian instructor Sarat, as well as she kept attending Amir Thaleb’s workshops. Along her career Cecilia has choreographed for group and private trainees, participating (coaching and dancing) in different contests and Dance Festivals (2003: DanzaBA Buenos Aires Dance, 2004: International Festival of Culture of Middle Eastern, 2005: Inter-American Meeting of Arabian Dance in Argentina). Cecilia has performed countless shows at the most famous theatres of Argentina, diplomatic and cultural centers, theme parks and various social events. In 2006 Cecilia moved to Los Angeles where she started teaching in several Dance Studios and working as a personal instructor. In 2007 she joined Sahlala Dance Company, which with she frequently performs around the LA area. The newest member of the BDSS, Cecilia joined in January 2009, she is featured in the Babelesque and 3D-Superstars DVDs.
